How to Play

un:chess is a solo puzzle game based on the rules of chess. Each chess piece moves as you would expect:

The bishop can only move in diagonal lines.

The knight can jump in an L shape, two and one spaces or vice-versa.

The rook can only move in straight lines.

There are three modes of play: Anarchy, Mutiny, and Highlander.

Anarchy

Your goal is to eliminate all the pieces. Click any piece to select it, then click another piece to capture it, removing both pieces from the board. Continue until the board is empty.

Mutiny

Your goal is to eliminate the king, but first you must eliminate all the other pieces on your way to the king. Find the path that leads to the king! You will start with one piece selected. Click on another piece to capture it. When you do, you become that piece. Continue until you reach the king.

Highlander

Your goal is to capture pieces until only one piece remains. Click any piece to select it, then click another piece to capture it, removing it from the board. Continue until only one piece is left.
